Celebrities ditching veganism.

Most recently we have heard Miley has done a U-Turn on her advocacy for veganism, declaring that veganism just wasn't working for her and her brain wasn't working properly.

She has been slammed for her comments and I can understand why. It is a shock for someone that seemed so dedicated to the cause, to suddenly announce she isn't behind said cause anymore, but that isn't what gets me. What upsets me about these celebs doing U-Turns on veganism (like Angelina Jolie), is that they don't just tell the truth. Other vegans would be surprised if they said they missed fish, dairy, meat, eggs etc, but it would at least be honest. What ticks me off the most is when they don't fess up to that and instead blame veganism for health issues. Any diet can be healthy or unhealthy. Vegan or not, if you are living on sugar and fats, you are not going to feel good! Veganism is not unhealthy, it is our choices that deem our diets to be unhealthy. I have lived on raw veggies and fruits and felt great, but I couldn't eat that way all the time, it wasn't for me. I have been vegetarian, trying to get all my vitamins and felt rubbish! It is about balance and managing what you put in to your body. I eat a lot of healthy foods, full of vitamins but allow treats. My family takes vitamins when I feel we may not have covered what we need in our foods and it's not at all difficult!

Now, I have no hate for Miley, I just hate her response to this. She has a lot of fans and can influence a lot of people, therefore she has a lot of responsibility in what she shares with the world. I wish she had been honest and thought of the impact her statement could have. Also, doesn't she know chia seeds have more omega three than fish?!
